CW Therapy is thrilled to announce our second professional athlete sponsorship.  We are proud to support Donald Scott, professional track & field athlete, eight-time USA Track & Field National Champion and 2021 Team USA Olympic Qualifier in the Triple Jump.  In college, he competed for Eastern Michigan University.  There, Donald won a combined 8 Long Jump and Triple Jump MAC Conference titles and twice collected All-American honors in the Triple Jump.  He graduated from EMU in 2015, where he also spent time working for his alma mater as a volunteer coach for the men's track & field team.

After winning his first National Triple Jump Title at the 2017 USA Track & Field Indoor National Championships, he finished third in the Triple Jump at the 2017 USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championships, with a then-career best performance of 17.25 meters/56 feet 7.25-inches.  The performance awarded him a place on his first career USA Track & Field National Team, granting him the opportunity to represent Team USA while competing at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London, England.

What a great 2018 season it was for Donald.  He began the season with a career best indoor performance of 17.06 meters/55 feet 11.75 inches.  Donald was crowned the US Champion at the USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championships in late June with another career best performance of 17.37 meters/57 feet, and followed with a successful run of international competitions.  High placing performances at competitions held in Guyana, Lausanne, London and Monaco earned Donald a place at the prestigious Diamond League Championship Finals, where he finished 3rd overall!  For his tremendous Triple Jump efforts, Donald earned 2018 final rankings of 4th overall in the US, and 6th overall in the world.

The 2019 season picked up right where Donald had left off. In March, Donald won another Indoor Triple Jump National Title, at the 2019 Indoor USA Track & Field National Championships, held in Ocean Breeze, NY. He went into the outdoor season in as good a shape as ever. At the Rome Diamond League Invitational, Donald leapt to a new personal best 17.43 meters (= 57 feet 2 inches).  In July, Donald returned to Des Moines and won the 2019 USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championship in the Triple Jump for the second year in a row with a wind-aided career best mark of 17.74 meters (58 feet, 2 1/4 inches). This win qualified him for his second Team USA World Championships roster spot. At the World Championships, hosted in Doha, Qatar, Donald finished 6th overall. For his successes, he was awarded with the prestigious Stephen A. Schwarzman Grant.

Donald won the USA Track & Field Indoor National Championship in the Triple Jump in February 2020.  After making the tough decision to forgo further competition in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Donald returned to the track in 2021 with his sights set on making the US Olympic Team.  With a second place finish at the Olympic Trials in late June, all of Donald’s hard work and efforts paid off as he qualified for his first Olympics.  For his continued Track & Field successes, he was again awarded a prestigious Stephen A. Schwarzman elite athlete grant.

After sacrificing his entire 2020 season of competition and adjusting his training to be in peak competitive shape for a year later than originally planned, Donald’s hard work was rewarded by not only making the USA Track & Field Olympic team, but by qualifying for the Olympic Finals in Tokyo.  Although he didn’t finish on the medal stand, he proved once again he’s unquestionably one of the top triple jumpers in the world.

Donald continued to reach new heights in 2022. In February, he won his seventh national title, winning the Triple Jump at the USA Track & Field Indoor National Championships, in Spokane, Washington. This win qualified him for yet another Team USA roster spot, where he competed at the World Indoor Championships. In March, Donald won his first international medal, taking Bronze at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia! His success continued during the 2022 outdoor season, and in June, he won his eighth national title at the US Outdoor Championships, in Eugene, Oregon. This win qualified him for the World Championships, also held in Eugene, in July. Although he wasn’t able to replicate his podium finish from the indoor season, he competed admirably, battling through a minor injury to make the final, where he placed sixth. Donald enters the 2023 season with hopes of earning more World Championship hardware.

Donald Scott, we’re proud to have you on the CW Therapy team!
