Thursday June 18th, 2020

Thank you all for your patience.  We will be reopening for appointments, starting on Wednesday, June 24th.  To ensure that the risk for COVID-19 transmission at our office is as low as possible, we will need your help.  Here are five key changes we’ve made that you can expect to see going forward:

1.  We will be asking all clients to wear a face covering for their nose and mouth when they come to our office.  If you don’t have one, we can provide you with a disposable mask.

2.  We’ve removed online booking from our website, and will schedule by appointment only.  To do so, please email appointment requests directly to Chris (chris@cwtherapya2.com) or Wendy (wendy@cwtherapya2.com), or call the office at 734-997-5355.

3.  We will give all clients, upon entering our office, a brief screening questionnaire regarding their current health status, and take a temperature reading, using a no-touch thermometer.

4.  We will ask all clients to fill out a new intake form (just once), even if we have your old one on file.

5.  There will be 30 minutes between all appointments to allow for cleaning and ventilation of treatment spaces and common areas.  To help with this, please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

We look forward to working with you again soon.  Thank you all for your support!

Today we decided that we will not reopen on June 15th.  We simply need a few more PPE items and office safeguards to be delivered and implemented to be certain our office is ready for you.  We regret that we have chosen to make you wait longer.  We will let you know when we can safely reopen as soon we can.

Today, the State of Michigan announced that massage therapy businesses may reopen as early as June 15th.  At this time, we can't guarantee that we'll be ready by then, but we're making our best efforts to prepare for reopening our office to you, safely and responsibly, and as soon as possible.

Since closing for COVID-19, we've received numerous requests for appointments.  Many more have come in the past few hours.  Please know that we feel very fortunate that so many of you want to work with us.  We will do everything we can to accommodate each request that has been made or will be made, as soon as we're able to do so safely.

We hope to provide you with a significant update on our progress by June 9th, if not sooner.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.  We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The State of Michigan’s reopen the economy plan is currently scheduled to begin progressing from Stage 3 to Stage 4 on May 29th, allowing some forms of non-essential business to resume working.  At this time, we do not expect those forms of non-essential businesses to include therapeutic massage and bodywork.  Having discussed this matter with industry leadership in the State of Michigan, our current expectation is that the earliest that massage therapists would be allowed to resume working would be at the end of June/beginning of July.  This timeline is, of course, subject to change. We look forward to working with you again when the time is right.

In the meantime, we will be working hard to ensure that we are at or exceeding the most up to date industry standards of safety and cleanliness for our workplace environment before we resume operations at CW Therapy. We hope you and all of those close to you are keeping as safe and healthy as possible. Please feel free to email us directly for any questions, concerns or feedback.

We have made the decision to temporarily close CW Therapy due to our concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.  We made this decision to minimize the risk of spreading the virus within our community.  We look forward to reopening our doors to serve you again when we feel it’s appropriate to do so.

Those with existing appointments will be contacted directly by Chris or Wendy as soon as possible.  If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact us directly via email (we won’t be able to reliably monitor calls at the office for the time being).  Please contact us at:
